This 7 Days Uganda Rwanda double gorilla trekking safari is an exceptional package which entail 2 gorilla treks one in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park Uganda and another trek in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National park. The 7 Days also entail chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest National park, cultural and city tours among others. We shall start in Kampala Uganda ending in Kigali Rwanda

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala Kibale National Park
You will begin your journey to Kibale national park soon on your arrival. Driving through the beautiful countryside, you will enjoy great views of the landscapes as you proceed through Fortportal town where you will stop for lunch. Arrive later in the afternoon/evening and settle at a lodge with Kibale National Park. The journey is about 3-4 hours. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking
Your breakfast will be served early enough to allow you arrive at the briefing point by 7:00am to catch up with briefing by the guides. You will then be grouped into 8 and be led into the forest to search for habituated chimps. Upon meeting the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend one full hour with them watching and learning about them more. Return to the lodge for lunch after that activity and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park the home to hundreds of wildlife including the big five. You will do an evening boat cruise at the famous Kazinga channel and you will have a chance to watch herds of buffaloes and hippos at this channel. Retire at the lodge for dinner and night stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
After an early breakfast, you will set off with your driver transferring to Bwindi national park. There will be an enroute game drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen mostly known for the tree climbing lions. Lunch will be served a hotel this side and thereafter proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park. Arrive in the evening and check in at a lodge for dinner ad overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla tracking
After a tasty breakfast at the lodge, you will head to the park offices for briefing by a team of park rangers. You will then be divided into groups of 8 people and then be led to the forest to find the gorillas. The search will soon be over when the Gorillas are found feeding and generally going on with their daily activities. You will spend one hour with them learning more about their life in the forest. These vegetarians will be seen feeding, the young ones carried by their mothers and the juveniles playing. Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Kigali Rwanda proceeding to for another Gorilla tracking experience. You will arrive in the evening and check in at the lodge for dinner and relaxation that evening.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national Park
Breakfast will be served and then head to the park offices for briefing on the guidelines for tracking Gorillas. The briefing is done by rangers who will later lead you to the forest to have another chance to watch Gorillas in a different country. You will be allowed a full hour interaction with the Gorillas as you get all your questions answered. Return to the starting point and head to your lodge to have lunch and relax that entire evening. Dinner ad overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Cultural excursion and City tour
Have breakfast at the lodge and check out and get on your journey to explore the beautiful culture of the Rwandan people. You will visit Ibyiwacu cultural village to familiarise with their traditions as you participate in the cultural performances and other beautiful activities from these transformed former poachers. You will then continue to Kigali city for a city experience visiting the Gisozi genocide memorial site, checkout for craft shops and visiting the local food markets to grab a fresh fruit. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Kigali City.
Day 7: Departure
Wake up at ease this morning, have your breakfast at the Hotel and check out proceeding to the airport for your flight back home.
